A really nice garden centre with practically everything you could need to create your perfect garden escape. I spent a lot of time here over the Summer. The prices are competitive and they do daily delivery to St Albans (other areas have 2 days in the week for deliveries).

The team in the Plant Information & Advice Centre are incredibly helpful and they have lots of free booklets to help with maintaining your garden (laying turf, planting trees etc.).

Quality garden centre. Always put on a good spread at Christmas. Have lots of selection whatever you need. Paving and sheds. Planters and decorative stuff. Pond gear. Trees, plants, veg, seeds, equipment, etc. Helpful staff. Just tricky driving in and out of.

This place has a huge selection of plants and fantastic tea, coffee and pastry shop.


I went looking for a couple of desktop cacti plants for work. They had a large selection to choose from -- so it took me a little while.


Outdoor fruit trees, spectacular flowering plants, vegetables and on and on and on. It is enjoyable just to walk around and take in all the vibrant colors and aromas. When you want a break just pop into the teahousewith lots more to choose from than just tea. We ordered lattes, cat shaped shortbread cookies for the children and a scrumptious carrot cake to share with my wife.


The only down side was they didn't have any small bags of organic compostWe needed just a little bit for some window pots.

This is a large local family run garden centre. There is plenty of parking, a cafe serving homemade food and a lovely range of trees, flowers, herbs and shrubs as well as gifts, greeting cards, garden furniture etc.


They even offer home delivery, at a cost depending on where you live. Which I used when ordering a tonne of stones.


Services is always impeccable. Staff are very friendly and I have never struggled to find assistance when needed.

This nursery has been at the site for many years in St Albans. It has an excellent selection of different flowers and plants, and is famous for dahlias. There is also a garden furniture section, and it is a must see for any avid gardeners in the area.


There is also a really nice cafe on site, which does delicious cakes!

This is a good, large garden centre with plenty of interest to most gardeners. There is a section of seeds, propagators and everything you need to grow your own plants in the indoor section. Outdoors there are a huge variety of plants including an area for indoor plants. You can buy soil, fencing, stones and garden furniture as well as bird houses and hanging baskets (both made up and in parts). There are several till points and there are usually plenty of staff to man them. There are some knowledgeable people as well has the handful of young workers who don't know quite so much. There are also some nice water features and a cafe and shop with stationery and other knick knacks.

Best nursery around, very large so has almost anything you could want. We asked for a recommendation for a front edge and they recommended, ordered and supplied 'whips' which were almost sticks. The hedge is now grown and wonderful. Always helpful staff. Can be a little expensive but value for money when you consider the quality.
