Every Saturday year round between 11am-5pm this superbly classy place is full of exclusive artistic and rare treasure goods. From vintage like Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana to new upcoming brands within fashion, accessories, jewellery, food, cheese,candy..........and more can be found. Its like a little merry go round with tents put up to sell the goods. And during the end of the year especially Nov/Dec the market is open Friday and Saturday 11am-5pm.

I've been visiting this market for over 2 years now and absolutely love the newness to the place everytime I've visited. The service is very good and so are the items sold. Its not retail garb but unique genuine artistic taste.

Cabbages and Frocks is a brilliant market which meets on Saturday mornings at the north end of Marylebone high street. The branding and concept should be really appealing to anybody who shares a love of good food and shopping.


The food sellers offer great delights much similar to the quality and diversity wares available in borough market and food can be brought to eat straight way or to take home. Stalls selling clothes are hit-and-miss in my opinion; some stall offer great bespoke make clothes and accessories where as other really just offer tat.


Overall it's a great market with a fantastic vibe, however it is rather small.

Although you may be less familiar with the name of this market, it has recently been hailed by Time Out and the Evening Standard as one of the top ten best markets in the city and I completely agree. It is like an alternative Portobello, although much, much smaller.

I loved the stall selling hairpieces, and of course the vintage clothing stalls, but the main reason I like to come here is for the artisan bakery and the wonderful selection of cheeses and salamis. You can also buy pots of herbs to take home and tend yourself for £1 each which I think it an absolute bargain. There are little treasures to discover here if you keep your eyes open, but I'm warning you once again - don't expect it to be big, it feels more like a school fair than a large market.

This review is a few months late. So it may not be super up yo date accurate.

This market was far too small to be interesting and was very sparsely attended as well.

But there was a saviour - there always is with markets - there was a lady selling home.made mini macaroons. We literally thought £10 worth of them, walked over to a bench, ate it, walked back to her ans bought some more.

A horrible market, filled with horrible people, selling horrible things, at horrible priced!


The food served is served in tiny portions, not fit for a mouse! And its not that good.


The clothing/jewlery varies from good to bad, but they all have on thing in common- How expensive they are. I know that this is Marylebone, a posh area of london, but prices are expensive even for here.


A few nice people can be found, but the majority are really snobbish (someone refused to serve me because I had stopped at their stall eairlyer, and then walked on, and then returned!).


REALLY! DONT GO HERE! OR TO ANY OF THE cabbages and frocks MARKETS! THEY ARE ALL AWFUL!


If you do like the market atmosphere, go to the Farmers Market held round the corner on sundays for the food, and marylebone sell most of the clothing in the shops on the highstreet -ive even found similar items of clothing going cheeper on the highstreet!

I discovered Cabbages and Frocks while making a short cut from Baker St to Maryelebone High Street. I couldn't believe that the back of St Marylebone Parish Curch had been transformed into a fashion and food gem. The first thing that caught my eye was the cupcake stall and Im pleased to say the ckes tasted as good as they looked. With my sugar fix sorted I found some great clothes stalls selling both vintage designer and new designers. I bought a lovely silver bracelet and a vintage Dior clutch. This mini market is a refreshing change form the department stores and High Street brands neraby.

A lovely little Saturday market where you can enjoy a cappuccino and a cup cake whilst purusing the latest fashions.


Food specialities will include: olive oils, balsamic syrup and vinegars, divine cupcakes, fine breads, olives, cheeses, Gindo's Sicilian sausages and chickens with 5 different fillings, hot chocolate, organic crepes and galettes, ex-Caviar House, plus Moroccan bedouin food from Abdul ex-Momo's.


The market also supports new designers and cottage industries. There is retro and vintage clothing, homewares, cute childrens clothes, hand blown glass and jewellery by individual designers including http://www.papervine.co.uk who provide fairtrade jewellery made in Uganda.


This market really is worth a visit.
