Cafe Del Sol is well liked in my family when it comes to breakfast spots.
My parents as well as my brother and his wife are regular customers here.
During our Germany trip earlier this year, my parents invited us for breakfast at CDS as well.
They offer a breakfast buffet on Saturdays and a brunch buffet on Sundays, however we went on a Tuesday morning, so we ordered off the menu.
Between the 5 in our dining group, we basically ordered nearly all the breakfast options they have.
Each one allows you to choose what kind of bun you want, but it doesn't really matter which one you get:
Everyone is delicious as they serve the buns fresh and warm.
And since they are baked according to the German baking style, it can't get any better.
(Believe me: If we know one thing, then it is how to bake!)
In the end our table was loaded with different types of fresh buns, jams, Nutella*, smoked salmon, cream cheese, scrambled eggs and breakfast sausages.
We also ordered orange juice, several coffees, a cappuccino and an espresso.
There was nothing that didn't taste good.
We had no leftovers. lol
As for the service:
All orders came out quick and at the same time.
The waiter was very friendly and checked on us several times to make sure we had enough jam, coffee, etc..
I now understand why my folks back in DE like to go there.. ;)
*(The REAL stuff of course.
German Nutella tastes WAY better than the stuff produced in Canada by the way.)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
