China Diner

The China Dinner is a modern style restaurant where one is always greeted with a friendly smile.


A buffet type and style eating establishment, you simply help yourself to what you want and to how much you want. There is a greaT SELECTION OF CHINESE FOOD on offer here so if your into this kind of eating you will not be dissapointed.


For the sweet tooth person there are a selection of cakes to finish off your meal. On the bar side there are wines or beer to suit every pallet.

Just in case anyone reads the reviews of China Diner and decides to visit, you should be warned that it is under new ownership and has changed its name (but not the phone number or address.) I have copied my review of the new restaurant below.


"We were in Lowestoft for lunch and walked past the old China Diner. We saw it had a new name and thought we would gige it a try. Unfortunately it was even worse than before as far as the food and drink is concerned. That is not to fault the staff who were friendly and ensured that the table was kept clean and the empty plates were taken away. The food looked (and tasted) old and dry. There was no sushi or terayaki. The drinks were overpriced and the soft drinks were of poor quality. The desserts were not even kept cold enough.


We will not be back until some serious improvements are made."

I have only been to China Diner for lunch, and had the buffet, so I will be reviewing that.


As my friend and I walked in, we were greeted by a friendly women who showed us straight to our seat. The room is spacious, and there is ample room for many diners.


The buffet was nice-the food warm and plentiful with a lot of selection, although I'm told there is a lot more at dinner time.


We didn't feel rushed, and were free to take our time over our meal and go back as many times as we wanted.


I would recommend this restaurant to any wanting a casual and relaxed meal.
