Erdinger Weißbräu

It's been over 10 years since the last time I ate here. The restaurant is in walking distance from the University Clinic Großhadern in Munich, Germany. I lived in the Munich area for over 25 years. If you want to experience a good quality typical Bavarian "Gaststätte" then look no further! The atmosphere is cozy and the food is fantastic.
On 12/23 I ate the venison goulash while my friend ate the Wiener Schnitzel, which is made with veal, like it should be. On Christmas Day, my son and I dropped in for a good meal after visiting someone in the hospital. We both had the "Röstzwiebelbraten" which is a beautiful roast of the beef loin, smothered in crispy fried onions. I ordered mine with fried potatoes, which were perfect, and my son had the "Käsespätzle", which is homemade pasta covered in melted cheeses and fried onions. We topped it off with a nice cool beer for a perfect meal - both times.

This is a spotless hotel with gorgeous details that you can't glean from photos. From the glow of the wood to the faucet handles, the room has a luxurious yet homey feel. Delicious breakfast with seeded bread superior even by German standards. You get two drink vouchers. A great place to stay if you're flying out the next day from Munich.
