War sehr lecker und auch die Einrichtung ist ansprechend. Preis-Leistung ist stimmig.

Very fresh food. Good calm space. Very popular place for good and reasonably priced food in Cologne.

Got the Schafa to go and it was simply amazing!!! I have had a lot of shawarma and falafel before and this place puts them all to shame. I can only compare the taste to what I had in Israel. Surprisingly at 5:30pm on a Sunday, the place wasn't that busy. My last attempt when I lived here, I walked away from the long line outside. As i am here for business, I asked for a receipt and the person wrote up a hand written receipt for me. He was so kind! I have to add to my trip every time!

Warning. This place is always packed. Which is a good sign of course. But when you see an opportunity to get seat when you peer inside, do it! We lived next door in fact which was awesome. It's a fantastic street in anycase, but this place is a good start.
Great signage, posters and stickers inside. Cologne very much reminds of Berlin and this Falafel place has a aurora of hipster about it. I shared a Falafel and Shawarma plate ( better if sitting down I think). Good portions. Think I preferred the Falafel over the Shawarma which wasn't piping hot or spicy actually. Had yogurt drink with it from the fridge but you probably don't need it as each dish comes with yogurt anyway.
It's cheap though and a popular place so worth checking out. Friendly staff and good food it's must to check out food wise in Cologne.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Marcel Gerard Thierry W.Köln, Deutschland559845410. Feb. 2016
Great food for few money. If I want to grab a well-tasty lunch to take with me, I get a Schawarma - much cheaper than a "Döner" and with many more spices. Classically, it's filled with chicken. There are also variations without meat like one with Halloumi cheese or falafel.
One other great thing: Every guest gets a small cup of Arabic style cinnamon tea (that can even be bought for a reasonable price to make at home). It doesn't depend on what you order - it's standing on the shelf where you order and shortens the waiting time. Although that's not needed most of the time as you'd rather burn your mouth from finishing the great, hot tea than finishing it before the friendly staff serves it to you.
You can get the meals either as a bread to take with you or as a plate dish to sit down. Well, you may also sit down with the bread, but the portion in the bread is only if you are not that hungry. That's because I like them - the Schawarma doesn't make you feel sick after eating them like it happens after a really big Döner. Well what I want to say, if you are really hungry, you better choose a plate dish. They also taste great.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Pam L.Raleigh, Vereinigte Staaten024218. Mai 2019

Dear Habibi family,
Have you thought about immigrating to Australia? Because your 3 euros falafel wraps with hummus and taboulli would be an excellent addition to my diet and lifestyle.
If this was in my hometown I would be here every single night that I couldn't be bothered cooking. Cheap, delicious, vegetarian and fresh. What's to feel guilty about?Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Rajesh K.Köln, Deutschland2282224. Jan. 2015
To me the best falafel in Cologne! I am a big fan of falafel wraps, and they are amazing here. I have tried their dish with falafel, salad, hummus and aubergine dip and bread as well. The dips were really good. The place is small, but full of pictures on the wall from lebnon and rest of arabia- really good atmosphere with people sitting close by and a light murmur around. They usually (2 out of 3 times) give away a mint tea to their guests.

I had the falafel and the halumi. It was delicious. I actually think the falafel is better than the meat. It might actually be best falafel I have ever had. Super crisp on the outside and flavorful on the inside.
