I needed to visit the Maynard Arms for work and,as it was lunch time and there were no options, I decided to give it a try.
The menu was a little expensive for me when I was just looking for a work day lunch but I finally decided on a bacon and cheese club sandwich which was very tasty and, with the accompanying coleslaw and side salad, a satisfactory lunch.
The menu seemed varied and tempting enough to make me consider a return visit for a special occasion.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kevin S.Ashland, Vereinigte Staaten191597927. Dez. 2012Erster Beitrag
Busy with weddings when we visited so the staff were stretched thin. Very nice room with killer views. Wonderful old building. Resturant was great, beautifully prepared food that tasted great. Would stay here again for sure.

This year we ventured over to Derbyshire to the Chatsworth House fireworks show and needed some accomodation quickly, through 'Laterooms' we found a hotel we had driven past many times 'The Maynard' we got a good deal through our late booking and we were well pleased with that room and the friendliness of the staff. After the fireworks we got back and went downstairs for a drink. The barmaid told us to go upstairs to the function room where they had a fantastic Glam Rock tribute band. We where welcomed into the company of everybody up there and ended up having a great night. The next day we opted for the the complementary continental breakfast which was really really nice, croissants, smoked hams, cereals, breads yogurts, fuit etc. This set us up for a nice explore before dinner.
