The presentation of the dishes and the location/view are the best parts of this place. You have a great view of Munich. The portions were small but satisfying. Service was great aside from having to wait outside the venue for a while before they were ready for us.

Manager Adam provided horrible customer service. He verbally told us he has the right to allow who he wants into his restaurant with or without reservations.



We were very polite to him and asked to speak to a manager and he became upset and said "I am the manager and I pick and choose who I want to come in.

This company definitely needs to train their staff on discrimination


Very poor customer service, very disappointed

Where to begin, we walk in promptly to our reservation. The manager, Adam, states we are not welcome in the restaurant due to the attire not fitting his personal description of "business casual". He asked us to not wear shorts. We proceed to show him the Open Table description to confirm it does not state that shorts are not permitted. We then proceed to find pants and he states it still does not fit his personal definition and states we cannot attend our dinner reservation due to not wanting a "bad review" from others in the restaurant. This is called DISCRIMINATION. Management should reevaluate their decision to have this particular individual as the face of their company.

Dann machen wir uns auf die Suche nach Hosen und er gibt an, dass sie immer noch nicht zu seiner persönlichen Definition passen und dass wir nicht an unserer Reservierung für das Abendessen teilnehmen können, weil wir keine "schlechte Bewertung" von anderen im Restaurant wünschen. Dies nennt man DISKRIMINIERUNG. Das Management sollte seine Entscheidung, diese bestimmte Person zum Gesicht seines Unternehmens zu machen, noch einmal überdenken.

I have NO IDEA why this restaurant doesn't have a higher rating. We were on a grey line bus tour and they mentioned a rotating restaurant at the top of the Munich tower. I called from the bus and asked if they could seat us. To my amazement, they did and we were glad to get off!

We ordered the 3-course lunch and it was amazing. I've posted a picture of the menu and food.

We loved it. I would highly recommend.

Spent a ton on dinner and really underwhelmed with the entire experience. The view is the star, but at night, it wasn't all that spectacular. Still, we felt like the positive food reviews would make up for it. Sadly, nothing really stood out. Opted for the 5 course meal but wouldn't recommend it as the extra plate was bland and disappointing. Entree was huge, which would be great if quantity was my goal, but quality was what I was going for and it just didn't work.

Dessert was the major issue as my wife's portion had a piece of plastic in it. We called attention to it and the manager told us it was congealed gelatin. We might have believed that except for the seam in the plastic. He did take off the extra course price which was very nice, but not enough.

I can't wildly recommend, but I guarantee that if you're looking for a romantic dinner, you will have a nice experience if not a perfect one.

We often took our guests and team there in 181. What I like about this place is that they do not cook with MSG. My cousin travel around Europe and had a hard time finding the right place to dine out due to his allergy to MSG. So, when he visited this restaurant, it gave him a big relief. The food and service was great!

It was a nice experience, but lacking in key areas.

Pros: The view. Even with rainy or snowy weather, the views are spectacular. It's great that it rotates. The views of Olympic Park are also interesting.
The service. The service was friendly. Wine and water were refreshed frequently.
The dessert: It was a well balanced dessert, even though it was a large portion of rich chocolate.

Cons:
The cost. For a mediocre 3 courses, the price is on the higher side.
The food. This was really lacking. The entree I ordered had two kinds of meat, veal and beef. The veal was well seasoned and prepared. The beef was horrid. Under seasoned, dry, and bland. The accompanying purées were also bland, and the vegetables over cooked and inadequate. Pea shoots (which were also in the appetizers) were an odd choice. We had many good meals in Munich and surrounding areas, and this one was the worst.


Would I do it again? Probably. It was a good view and a beautiful room.

4 stars because of the amazing view from the rotating platform at 200m above the city. The food gets 3 stars, good but nothing to tell home about

we have been amazed. nice service, beautifull plates, (see pics).
people doing the service are listening to you, always here for questions, very polite...etc...
all plates arrived verry nice arranged and decorated....(see pics)
we mentionned (by booking per email) that it was our 1st weeding anniversary, and they offered us table close to windwow..and made a surprise (really unexpected) in writting us best wishes (with chocolates) on our dessert!

We happened to be there on a special event day, with a preset 5 course menu with wine pairing. The food was very good, they were very accommodating in having a kids menu paired with non alcoholic wine. The staff was very helpful. The view from the restaurant was incredible with an outline on the glass window that showcases the landmarks in site, and you get the total panoramic view via the restaurant rotating without leaving your seat. The evening ended with spectacular fireworks.
