The Oxford Blue

This is the BEST restaurant - better than the Michelin star restaurants in London and the surrounding areas. The food is incredibly complex and simple at the same time. The layers of flavor are like little bursts of surprises... every bite needs to be absolutely savored. The service is impeccable and the ambiance of the restaurant is incredibly festive yet relaxing. The whole meal is delicious and a treat to think about for a long time to come.

Wow!!! Amazing amazing amazing! This pub should be a one star Michelin. Everything from the service, the food, and the bathrooms..... impeccable. Loved the deer for two as our main. Their "take" on the Trotter was brilliant. Slight gamey tastes throughout but not overpowering. You must come here!!!!

This happiness on top of exquisite dishes - one after another - combined to make the whole experience one of the most memorable ever
One very small complaint - the dining room is small and cosy so it got noisy with all the happy people talking and laughing a lot!!! There were just the two of us so we sat close together on the curved banquette and had no trouble hearing each other. If you have trouble hearing, especially if you are more than 2 people you should request a quiet table.

Good food, but very small portions. The restaurant is fancy but lacks kid food. Does not have pub food.

The service was outstanding! Amelia was attentive and sweet and made the experience one to remember. The food was great and the views were even better. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone in the area.

This is a nice pub. This was my father's local and we used to sit in the front and look at the field opposite and the cows there while the sun went down. These days there is a sizable conservatory out at the back and food is good enough. I like it here.

Great place for a sunday lunch- they do a nice carvery, with the option of tagging on a starter and/or dessert. Prices are very reasonable- 2 cavery's, two deserts, a glass of wine and 2 pints of magners came to £25.... and then you can digest your lunch by snuggling up on the sofas with the papers and watching the rugby/football on one of the big screens - Bliss!

me hubby and 2 boys had best meal out in 18 months when we ate here on 27/04/2011 great food great price. you have to come here we even left a tip it was that good!!!!!! carol catterall from bolton
