Villa Montparnasse is the sort of place travelers dream about when they visit Paris. The location is near restaurants and shops. The architecture seems to be from over 100 years ago, but it was actually founded 25 years ago. This gives the weary traveler the best of both worlds: it has an old world charm, but with modern comforts.
When you enter the hallway, the lights are dim, but motion sensors soon bring up the lights. This ensures that you don't have harsh lighting spilling under the door at night, as with most hotels.
The rooms are beautifully appointed, and include a safe and a refrigerator. The bed is roomy and comfortable, and the pillows are also fluffy and soft.
The TV is less ideal for the English speaking traveler: only a handful of stations are in English, and they're all news stations. But, you didn't come to Paris to watch TV in the hotel, did you?Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - 7. Okt. 2015
I love the french setting of this hotel and the convenience of its location. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. The bathroom for the room that we got was pretty big for Paris standard. The breakfast was our favorite part of our stay. Their chocolate croissant is ON POINT! :) My husband ate 4-5 pieces everyday and always wanted to go back for more.
The hotel price was also fair so the 6 of us (3 couples) didn't need to share bigger rooms. We were able to get one of our own. The 4 train is a 3 minute walk and is so convenient to all major places.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David D.Indianapolis, Vereinigte Staaten897279. Nov. 2014
For our first trip to Paris, what could be better than an old, qualnt, small hotel close by the Metro, cafes and brasseries?
Okay, there aren't a lot of electrical outlets in the rooms. The elevator is slow. Our room had the shower in one closet and the toilet in another. On the other hand, the staff was attentive, the breakfast was sumptuous and we could easily picture ourselves as amateur spies in an Alan Furst novel. We had fun and we didn't spend a fortune.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Robert C.Everett, Vereinigte Staaten1086812. Nov. 2013
A beautiful Hotel. We loved it. The neighborhood was quiet and the room was large and very nice. The WiFi was efficient and working, The shower was very nice.
It was a little walk to the Metro, but not uncomfortably so, a few blocks. We never ate at the Hotel, since there were many places, markets and restaurants close by.
The staff was pleasant and the rooms were clean and well kept.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
